Hawk Ball
Hawk Tball is opened to girls and boys turning 5 and 6 years old. It is modified version of baseball that is non-competitive. Teams field 6 a side and each innings both teams field and bat. Every player gets a turn to bat with the last batter running a “home run”. The games are played on Saturday morning at 8.15am and run for 45 minutes.
Hawk T-ball is a nationally recognised by Baseball Australia. The main aim of Aussie T-ball is to have fun and learn some of the basic rules of baseball.
Uniform requirements for players: Pants and glove are given on loan by the Club. The shirt and hat are included in the registration fees. Each team is provided with a kit which includes balls, helmets, bases and bats.
Volunteers required: Each team is required to provide a coach, manager and umpire for home games.
Tball
Tball is open to girls and boys born turning 7 years old. This is a modified version of baseball which is a ungraded competitive competition. Players hit the ball off the tee and have three attempts at hitting the ball before being called out. When fielding, 9 players take the field and rules are modified from full baseball. Each innings both teams bat and field. The games run for 1 hour or a maximum 5 innings. Games are played at a variety of times and locations on Saturday morning. Home ground is Ruddock Park.
Uniform requirements for players: Shirts are provided by the Club. Hats need to be purchased from the Club for $25. Players will be required to have a glove, white baseball pants, blue belt and blue socks. These can be purchased locally at Red Stitches click here for their website. Each team is given a kit with bases, helmets, bats and balls.

Zooka
Zooka is opened to boys and girls born turning 8 and 9 years old. Zooka is a modified version of baseball where players hit the ball from a machine called a zooka. Players have three attempts to hit the ball before they are called out. During fielding 9 players take the diamond. Fielding rules are still a modified version of baseball rules. Games run for 1 hour and 15 mins or a maximum of 5 innings. They are played at a variety of times and different locations on Saturday. Home ground games are played at Ruddock Park.

Live Ball
Live ball is open to boys and girls born aged 10 years and older. Rules are still a modified version of Baseball but the fielding team provides a pitcher. Fielding rules vary depending on the age level. Games are played at a variety of times and different locations on Saturday. Home ground games are played at Oakleigh Oval.
Uniform requirements for players: Shirts are provided by the Club. Hats need to be purchased from the Club for $25. Players will be required to wear white baseball pants, blue belt and blue socks. Male players are required to wear a cup for safety. Players will also need a glove and cleats (not metal) or soccer boots. These can be purchased locally at Red Stitches click here for their website.
